Connecting Your Smart Basketball
Welcome to Spalding TF DNA Smart Basketball!
Before you start shooting, make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned ON.
You can usually find this option in your phone’s settings.
(Tip: enabling Airplane Mode can reduce unwanted Bluetooth traffic and prevent incoming calls or messages during your session.)
🔗 Connecting your basketball
-
Open the Spalding TF DNA App on your phone.
-
From the home screen, choose your mode — for example, Solo, Casual, or another option.
-
If you select Solo, you can then pick between Shootaround or Free Throw.
-
Once your mode is selected, you’ll see a prompt:
“Connect your ball to start the session.” -
Spin your basketball aggressively backward in the air — this motion wakes up the internal sensor and automatically connects it via Bluetooth.
🎧 You’ll know it’s connected when:
-
You hear an audio cue followed by a whistle, and
-
The app screen displays shot data such as accuracy, arc, release time, and consistency.
Now you’re ready to shoot! Each shot you take will deliver instant, real-time feedback through the app.
